MOTIVATION STRIKE!

I am struggling for motivation this week, not quite sure why! I did force myself to row yesterday and have a workout which I did enjoy but again today I am looking for any excuse not to have to. I know we ALL have days like this.

I will let you know how the day spans out!

Right ... yesterday i could have ran but i didn't (used the excuse of pmt to myself) actually felt more lethargic today but i know i need to stick with it and like you say ALWAYS feel better after.. so i went to the gym today and ran and ran and ran and thought i was going to die... but i survived, feel great, ran for longer at a faster pace with an increase in total time too... so very proud of myself as i am not a runner....short bursts with the hockey stick or on a javelin run up is about all i ever needed .. but like you remind me.. get the cardio up, then get busy with toning ....
    I know you know it all but in times of declining motivation ..remind yourself what you are trying to achieve.. how good you felt after your last session and come up with a totally new session to spice it up! Think back to all the basic principles... and make sure you're applying them to the overall plan..... Frequency.Intensity.Time.Type and Specificity.Progression.Overload. Reversibility and.TEDIUM !! If what you are doing isn't inspiring you....do something totally different for a while ...... and in all honesty even top athletes have planned rest periods.. remember you've been at this for about 4 months continuous now so maybe you need a well deserved break for 4 or 5 days then come back fully charged and ready to run, jump, skip ... whatever..... YOU CAN DO IT.. STICK WITH IT but LISTEN TO YOUR BODY !!!! xxxx
